WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING. ("Times-Age” Special.) The monthly meeting of the Tinui Women’s Institute was held in the Public Hall, when Mrs Speedy presided over a fair attendance of members. The following are the results of the monthly competitions: —Child’s petticoat: Mrs Beck 1, Mrs Perry 2, Mrs Tye 3. Apple shortcake: Mrs McKay 1, Mrs I. McKay 2, Mrs Beck 3.. 'Best bloom: Mrs McKay 1, Mrs Perry 2, Miss E. Owen 3. At the last monthly meeting, Mrs Beck was presented with a cup, being the winner of the points prize for home industry during the past year, Mrs Street being second, and Mrs O’Hara third. Mrs Street was also tho winner of the best bloom and wall competitions. A., special appeal is to be made for files and rasps, and those willing to donate such articles, are asked to leave them with members of the Institute. . Tho members engaged in a practice of first aid bandaging.
The hostesses were Mesdames Beck, Mac Alister and Bennett.
