CRIPPLED CHILDREN

MASTERTON BRANCH MEETING. MANY CASES UNDER TREATMENT The monthly meeting of the executive of the Wairarapa branch of the Crippled Children Society was held yesterday afternoon, the chairman, Mr E. M. Hodder being in the chair. It was decided that owing to war conditions the branch recommended that the annual conference of branches should be postponed until next year. The Welfare Officer’s report stated that satisfactory reports had been received regarding two babies who had been operated on for cleft palates and that good progress was being made by other children under medical treatment. Six new cases had been registered and another new case reported upofi.' Altogether, during the montn, 22 cases had been attended to and ten homes had been visited in addition. It was decided to hold a special meeting next week to consider tile accounts and reports for the year and to hold the annual meeting of the branch on May 28.
