CANADIAN AIRMAN
AWARDED BAR TO D.F.C. NOTABLE SUCCESS AS FIGHTER PILOT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.35 p.rn.) LONDON, May 7. A bar to his D.F.C. has been awarded to Squadron Leader Richard Macklow Trousdale, of Hpwick, who is a member of a Royal Canadian Air Force squadron. The citation states that Squadron-Leader Trousdale is an exceptionally skilful and keen fighter pilot. He has destroyed eight hostile planes, of which five were shot down at night. Squadron Leader Trousdale was born in 1921, and. commissioned in the R.A.F. in 1939. He was awarded the D.F.C. in February, 1941.
