MILITARY DANCE
PATRIOTIC FUND APPEAL. FEATURES OF TONIGHT’S GATHERING. Judging by the sale of tickets and the interest displayed, the military dance to be held in the Town Hall tonight is already an assured success. A feature of the dance will be the music, which is to be played by an orchestra drawn from various military units throughout the Wairarapa. This orchestra has created a favourable impression at its rehearsals and dancers should be well pleased with the music at tonight’s gathering. A special waltz is to be played in honour of the debutantes who are making their bow to the social world. They are Misses Lucy Wilton, Kathleen Dallas, Olwyn Jones, Joan Russell, Jean Nicol, Rita McGovern, Margaret Gaskin and Beth Cardno. A considerable amount of time and effort in organising the dance has been put in by Miss Eunice Robieson, whose accomplishments as an organiser of social functions need no commendation to the public of Masterton. The dance is being held to mark the close of the Patriotic Fund appeal in the Masterton district.
