, WEDDING PERFECT—TAYLOR. (“Times-Age” Special.) A pretty wedding was celebrated on Monday afternoon in St. Teresa’s Church by the Rev. Father Divlin, when June Mildred, second daughter of Mr and Mrs Norman Taylor, Featherston, was married to John James, only son of Mr and Mrs James Perfect, Cross Creek. The bride, wearing a handsome gown of white satin with a veil lent by her cousin, Mrs Colin Taylor, and carrying a bouquet of white chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern, was escorted by her father. Miss Monica Taylor was the bridesmaid, and wore a very pretty frock of pale green georgette, with the same shade in veil and mittens. The bridegroom, who is a telegraphist in the R.N.Z.A.F., was attended by Lance Corporal James McLeish. >Mrs S. Raper was the organist. A reception was held in the supperroom of the Town Hall. Mrs Taylor, wearing a navy costume and hat, was assisted in receiving the guests by Mrs Perfect, who was attired in a black floral frock worn under a fur coat. COSY THEATRE “MELODY RANCH.” One of the brightest and most musical pictures ever brought to the screen, “Melody Ranch,” will be shown tomorrow night with Gene Autry, Mary Lee and “Windy” Hayes in the leading roles. The sensational drama, “The Devil Bat,” will also be presented, Bela Lugosi portraying the chief character.
