SOLWAY RAINFALL
RECORD FOR APRIL. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 10 days in April, 'the maximum fall was 30 points on the 29th, and the minimum 1 point on the 26th. The total rainfall for the month was 1.19 inches as against 2.60 (1.941), 3.27 (1940), 3.98 (1939), 998 (1938), 1.32 (1937). The average for 39 years is 2.86 inches. The total rainfall for the four months of this year is 12.80 inches, as compared with 14.02 (1941), 9.18 (1940), 5.90(1939), 21.09 (1938), 9.87 (1937). The average for 39 years is 11.11 inches.
