Ah Army communique announced that a delayed report from India says that heavy American bombers raided docks and other military installations at Rangoon on April 29, inflicting severe damage. Harley Leaird observed the incident and, disregarding their safety, dashed from shelter jo the hole during a ferocious air raid and shelling. They climbed the pole, repaired the halyard and restored the hag. General Wainwright awarded all four the silver star for gallantry.
