ARMY & PRESS

FULL CO-OPERATION.

PROMISED BY GENERAL BLAMEY.

(Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 2.

“The Army and Press have a common objective —the winning of the war,” said General Blarney at a Press conference today. “The Press is destined to play a very important part in the winning of this war. “It is one of the features of our democracy that the people want to know what is going on. To know what is going on entails criticism on the public’s part, and participation by the people in a very definite way. The part of the Press is to support us and inform the people.” General Blarney promised the Press full co-operation and facilities.
