Jamieson, has announced his retirement, after nine seasons as a trainer in Australia. He had won £98,000 for his patrons. His biggest stake earner was High Caste, who is going to New Zealand on stud duty and for whom Mr Jamieson has a great affection. Mr Jamieson in future will reside on his farm in New Zealand. Some thirty years ago Mr Jamieson followed the occupation of trainer in Masterton, and trained many notable winners. He left Masterton for Australia at about the same time as another well known local trainer, Mr jMMcGrath, the latter following his profession in Victoria,
