PREMIER’S DECLARATION. WELCOMED BY THE BRITISH GOVERNMENT. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, April 29. The Foreign Secretary (Mr Eden), asked in the House of Commons regarding the Egyptian Prime Minister’s declaration on April 21, expressing loyalty to the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty, said: "I. have studied the declaration, which accords with his Majesty’s Government’s view of its Egyptian ally’s obligations. I welcome the opporutnity to express appreciation of the terms in which the Egyptian Prime Minister has affirmed, not for the first time, hi:c intention of co-operating with this country and its allies within the framework of the Anglo-Egyptian Treaty of safeguarding the interests of the Imperial and Allied forces in Egypt.”
