ON EMPEROR’S BIRTHDAY.

NEW YORK, April 29.

According to the Tokio official radio, the Dome! News Agency said that, against the grim horizons of the war, the Japanese people held solemn ceremonies to felicitate the Emperor’s birthday and to pledge themselves to renewed efforts to bring the war to a successful end. There were the usual parades and celebrations throughout the country. The Emperor received congratulations from members of princely houses and high officials.
