TWO SEATS CAPTURED BY INDEPENDENTS.
(British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 10.36 p.m.) RUGBY, April 30.
There have been gains by two Independent candidates in by-elections, the results of which are: —
Rugby: W. J. Brown, Independent, 9,824 votes, beat Sir Claud Holbrook, Conservative, 9145.
Wallasey: G. L. Reakes, Independent, received 12,596 votes, Pennington, Conservative, 6,584, and Major Leonard Cripps, Independent, who loses his deposit, 1,597.
