The United States Ambassador to Britain (Mr J. G. Winant) paid a farewell call on President Roosevelt. It is indicated that he will carry a message from President Roosevelt to Mr Churchill. Mr Winant is going to London by Clipper shortly. Mrs Winant is accompanying him.
