The Tokio official radio quoted the 1 “Hochi Shimbun” as saying that Hitler’s speech and his assumption of vast new powers were an important strong-1 thening of Germany’s interior structure and the prelude to a great military offensive. All the Tokio afternoon papers featured the speech prominently. The “Nichi Nichi Shimbun” reports that the Japanese have arrested 200 Chinese in Java, charged with antiJapanese activities.
