CHURCH SERVICES

The evening service at St. Matthew’s Church on Sunday at 4 p.m. will take the form of a special musical service, when the choir, under the direction of Mr Wm. C. Mann, and with Mr Miller Hope at the organ, will render Maunders’ impressive work, “Olivit to Calvary,” which was postponed from Palm Sunday on account of the National Day of Prayer. The principal soloists will be Mrs J. Moss, Miss Mona Fulton and Mr Archer Hale, whilst the quartette comprises Mrs Burke, Miss Fay Youngquest, Messrs Frank Thornton and Archer Hale. The Baptist Church will meet in the Y.M.C.A. Hall on Sunday next. The Sunday school meets at 10 a.m. The morning service will commence at 11 a.m. and will be conducted by Mr W. Teeboon.

Archdeacon Rich will be the preacher at the morning service at St. Matthew’s Church tomorrow. At 4 p.m. the choir will render the cantata “Olivit to Calvary.” The service at Upper Plain will be at 9 a.m. The Rev. I. C. Edwards will conduct services at the Hospital at 3 p.m. and Kuripuni at 4 p.m. The meetings at the Salvation Army Citadel on Sunday will be conducted by Major and Mrs Ransom. At 7 o'clock in the evening a special Anzac Day service will be held.
