BREAK WITH VICHY
. SOUTH AFRICAN ACTION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.45 p.m.) PRETORIA, April 23. It is announced that South Africa has severed diplomatic relations with Vichy. Another message states that a spokesman in Ottawa said that Canada was the only Dominion now maintaining diplomatic relations with Vichy. Canada’s attitude, he added, might be influenced by South Africa’s action,' but was likely to be decided eventually by the attitude of the United States.
