ROUND-UP OF AXIS ELEMENTS. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, April 23. The Teheran Government is taking drastic measures to purge the country of Axis elements. An official proclamation says that propaganda for Axis Powers and concealment of Axis subjects is contrary to the country’s welfare and laws, and the police will deal severely with offenders. It is officially explained that the measures are being taken for the country’s protection “in view of the horrors caused by Fifth Columnists elsewhere.”
