Mrs A. Caselberg, of Sussex Street, has returned from Wellington. Mrs J. Mills, who has been staying with her mother, Mrs A. P. Bennett, Essex Street, has returned to Day's Bay.
Mrs AV. K. Logan, who has been staying with Dr. and Mrs Archer Hosking, Church Street, has returned to North Auckland.
The, engagement is announced of Maud Alice, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. C. Lambess, Kaituna, Masterton, to George R. W. Pocock, of the engineering staff of the Public Works Department, Fiji.
An old and respected settler of the Wairarapa, Mr George Fredrick George, passed away at his residence, 13 Totara Street, Lansdowne, Masterton, today. Born at Tinakori Road, Wellington, 84 years ago, deceased followed farming pursuits, and for many years farmed at Mangamaire. He then retired to Petone and resided there for 5 years, coming to Masterton 20 years ago. ■ He is survived by his wife and one son. One son was killed in the Great War.
