VIRULENT GAS
USED IN SWISS ARMY MANOEUVRES ACCORDING TO ROME RADIO. LIVE STOCK KILLED & CROPS DAMAGED. (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.40 p.m.) LONDON, April 17. The Rome radio says poison gas was used in recent Swiss army manoeuvres in the Uri Cantojj and killed live stock valued at £325,000. It also seriously affected crops and pastures.
