EXTENSION OF UNITED PROGRAMME. CONFERENCE TO BE HELD IN OTTAWA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.20 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 17. A joint statement by President Roosevelt and the Canadian Prime Minister, Mr Mackenzie King, said that a conference, at which all the United Nations concerned with the air training programme in the United States or Canada will be invited to participate, will be held in Ottawa early in May. The purpose would be to further united military efforts, extend air programmes and make a more effective use of all resources of personnel.
