RONGOKOKAKO
WOMEN’S INSTITUTE MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS (“Times-Age” Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Rongokokako Women’s Institute Mrs W. -O’Neil, president, presided over a large attendance. Miss Hazel Johnson from Massey College. Palmerston North, gave a very interesting talk on her travels in America and Canada. National Savings Account books were presented to Baby McKay and Baby Fafeita. Presentations were made to Mrs R. Littler and Miss P. Littler who are shortly leaving the district. ' The competitions for the month resulted as follows:—Tray cloth: Mrs M. Morriss, 1; Mrs K. Faulkner, 2. Three carrots: Miss D. Nagel, 1; Mrs W. O’Neil and Miss U. Payne, 2. Flower (two sections): Mrs Nagel, 1; Mrs M. Morriss, 2; Mrs Nagel, 1; Mrs H. McKay 2. The skill test was won by Miss Hazel Johnson.
Eighteen beautiful tray cloths were handed in for the Red Cross Society. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames S. Smith and K. Faulkner.
