FUNDS TO BE HELD IN TRUST. UNTIL NEW SHIP CAN BE PURCHASED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) CANBERRA, April 15. The Federal Premier (Mr Curtin) announced that satisfactory arrangements for the purchase of a new ship to replace the lost cruiser Sydney could not be made at present. Pending the purchase of a new ship, money collected for the H.M.A.S. Sydney Fund would be held in trust and applied exclusively as part of the cost of a new Sydney.
