CLASH IN LIBYA

TWO ENEMY TANKS BURNT OUT FIVE OTHERS DAMAGED. FURTHER ENEMY AIR LOSSES AT MALTA. LONDON, April 15. A Cairo communique gives further details of the recent action at Temrad, 15 miles south-west of Gazala. One of our columns attacked a superior enemy force, including 30 tanks and guns. Two enemy tanks were burnt out and five others were damaged. Our losses were slight.

Today’s communique state that our columns have continued to harry the enemy.

Derna and Martuba aerodromes were again attacked by our bombers last night. Nine German aircraft were des-

troyed over Malta yesterday and eight others were damaged. After five alerts . during the night the weather turned cloudy and enemy activity was on a negligible scale.
