STATE THEATRE

“IRENE.” One of the most attractive musical •comedies ever, brought to the screen, “Irene,” will be presented tonight at the State Theatre. The music is of a high standard, and there are many catchy tunes. The story is well told among elaborate scenery and in such a manner as to merit the appreciation of particular picture patrons. The acting is of a standard rarely seen on the screen and should afford the greatest pleasure to those who attend. It is certainly a picture that should not be missed —those who do not see it will have deprived themselves of a great musical treat. There is not a dull moment in the picture, which goes with an exceptionally fast and attractive swing from start to finish. The leading roles are taken by Anna Neagle and Ray Milland who give outstanding performances.
