RANGITUMAU
WOMEN’S DIVISION COMPETITION WINNERS. • (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a very good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Rangitumau branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union which was held in the local hall recently. Mrs James presided. Members spent the time in making Red Cross bandages for the Home Guard. There are now 24 members in the local branch of the Red Cross Society’s Masterton Country Sub-Centre. There was a good collection of cakes which were later sent to soldiers in the Masterpn Hospital. The general meeting will be held in May and members were asked to bring biscuits which will also be sent to the soldiers in hospital. On behalf of the members Mrs James presented Mrs I. McLachlan with a set of salad spoons and forks in honour of her recent marriage. The competition for the best jar of jelly was won by Mrs Macdonald. The results of the bloom competition
