FEATHERSTON
SALE OF VEGETABLES FOR PATRIOTIC FUNDS. (“Times-Age” Special.) In response to the appeal of the Government to grow as many vegetables as possible, Mrs D. H. S. Riddiford has donated her surplus vegetables, etc., grown for the purpose, to the Patriotic Society in Featherston. The grapes and vegetables find ready sale. The sum of £5 has been realised during the past two weeks from the sale of this produce. Personal Items. Mrs W. Marshall is visiting Auckland. Mrs Jennings, Upper Hutt, is spending a few days with her sister, Mrs R. Skipage, Fitzherbert Street. Engagement. The engagement is announced of Coralie Anita, only daughter of Mr and Mrs 0. Andersen, Kahutara Road, Featherston, to James, youngest son of Mr and Mrs E. A. Price, Kaiwaiwai. COSY THEATRE “MAISIE WAS A LADY.” The finest, picture of the Maisie series, "Maisie was a Lady,” will be shown tonight. Ann Sothern and Lew Ayres have the leading roles. “Across the Sierras,” a sensational drama, will also be shown.
