BRAZILIAN ARMY
GREAT INCREASE ORDERED. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 10.25 a.m.) WASHINGTON, April 9. An Associated Press of America correspondent in Rio de Janeiro reports that a Presidential decree has provided for a drastic increase in the Brazilian Armyjs effective strength. It is believed that the army at present stands at under 100,000. By the addition of trained reserves, it may eventually number 1,200,000.
