ART CLUB

ENJOYABLE SOCIAL EVENING. In spite of many counter-attractions there was a good attendance at the Masterton Art Club’s social evening held in the Countrywomen’s Club last evening. The host and hostess wore Mr S. B. Maclennan and Mrs K. Eastwood and a most enjoyable programme was presented. A special feature was a talk on Hawaii by Miss Prentice, who gave the club a most interesting account of a trip to the islands and the beauties of nature and the hospitality of the people to be found in that paradise of the Pacific. Miss Doreen Jamieson contributed several much-appreciated vocal items. Supper was provided by a ladies’ committee.
