HOME GUARD
MASTERTON BATTALION ROUTINE ORDERS. CLASSES, PARADES & OTHER ACTIVITIES. Routine orders issued by Major A. L. Hibbs, in respect to the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard are: — Classes—N.C.O. class, Tuesday April 14 at 7.0 p.m. at Municipal Hall. A special coaching class will be held at the Municipal Hall oh Thursday, April 16, at 7.0 p.m. Parades. —A Company: Weekend bivouac, Saturday April 11, at Drill Hall, 2.0 p.m.. return Sunday, April 12, at 4 p.m., weekend equipment to be carried. C Company: Weekend bivouac. Saturday, April 11 and Sunday, April 12. Parade at Municipal Hall at 1.3 C p.m., Saturday, April 11, returning Sunday, April 12, at 4.0 p.m. Headquarters Company: Signal Platoon will parade Thursday, April 9, at Central School at 7.0 p.m. A full muster is required. Band will parade at Jones and Co.’s garage at 7...0 p>m., Thursday, April 9. Other centres will adhere to individual arrangements.
Company Commanders are reminded of conference to be held on Tuesday, April 14, at 7.0 p.m„ at Headquarters, Ferry Street, Masterton. Promotions and appointments. — Headquarters Company: C.S.M. L. Roff to be R.S.M. A Company: Sergt. G. Ready to be Platoon Commander, No. 3 Platoon; Sergt. R. Pawson to be C.S.M. C Company: R.S.M.' M. Winslade to be Platoon Commander. B Company: Gu'ardsman B. F. Schofield to be Corporal. Marched out—A Company: K. T. Percy to Territorials. C Company: K. A. Russell to I.M.R. Petrol Guards C. E. Jackson and R. Maxwell to E.P.S. Marched in.—L. W. Deadman from Featherston Battalion.
