CARTERTON
PLUNKET SOCIETY VALUABLE LOCAL INSTITUTION. (“Times-Age” Special.) An institution which is doing excellent work in promoting the health of young children in Carterton is the Plunket Society. With commendable selfsacrifice a band of ladies are carrying out the ideals of the founder of the Plunket Society in a manner which reflects the greatest credit upon them. It is an effort that has doubtless saved the lives of many babies and improved the health of children whose mothers have wisely taken advantage of the facilities made available by the local branch of the Plunket Society. The officials associated with the branch are so devoted to their duties that they spare no effort to improve the health of the children in every possible way by imparting to mothers the most scientific way of rearing their children. The people of Carterton are proud of their Plunket Society, and justly so, because it is undertaking a work of national importance and making the lives of mothers easier by imparting valuable information to them in regard to the rearing of their children and by laying a solid foundation of good health in connection with young babies. intercessory Service.
