GREYTOWN
THE DAIRY INDUSTRY SUCCESSFUL SEASON. ("Times-Age” Special.) The dairying season is turning out well and suppliers to the local factory should reap the benefit of the extra effort they have made in connection with the-appeal to increase the output in view of the war. Greytown dairy farmers have always maintained a high standard of production and never more so than since they wisely undertook the testing of their cows. A much better type of herd is in evidence in Greytown today than was the case even a decade ago, because the dairy farmer realises that if he desires to obtain the most profit out of his venture he must aim at a high standard in the vehicle which produces such profits. Consequently, he fully understands the value of getting rid of “boarder” and “scrub” cows in his herd, and this is only possible by testing methods. The model dairy farms in the district are evidence of the progressive spirit of those who are associated with the industry. TOWN HALL TONIGHT’S PROGRAMME. Ann Sothern, Aubrey Smith and Lew Ayres will be seen tonight in the brilliant comedy-drama, “Maisie was a Lady.” “Across the Sierras,” a thrilling drama, will also be shown.
