SOLWAY-MANAIA

MONTHLY MEETING OF MEMBERS. (“Timcs-Agc" Special.) At the monthly meeting of the Sol-way-Manaia Women’s Institute Mrs Diamond presided and welcomed a large gathering of members and friends. Mrs Webber and Mrs Thompson were appointed delegates to the halfyearly Federation meeting al Carterton. An entertainment, “Illustrated Proverbs,” was much enjoyed by members. The ladies taking part in it were Mcsdamcs Diamond, Cotton, Scrivener. Groombridge and Miss Cotton. The competitions resulted as follows: Best bloom, Mrs Carr 1, Mrs Scrivener 2, Mrs Webber 3; bowl of weeds, Mrs Diamond 1, Mrs Scrivener 2, Mrs Groornbridge 3; apple shortcake, Mrs Wocllett 1, Mrs Diamond 2, Mrs Munn 3.
