MASTERTON SUB-CENTRE. ELECTION OF COMMITTEE. At the annual meeting of the Masterton Sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society, the following committee were elected: General committee, Mesdames Heath, Barrer, Kilgour, Towns, Lee, Dallas, Garland, C. Cook, Messrs Lee,’ Ninnes and Farrell; executive committee, Mesdames Tolhurst. Gooder, Flannery, Thompson, D. McKenzie and Miss Cruickshank; finance committee, Mesdames Tolhurst, Thompson, Gooder, Messrs Farrell, Ninnes and Lee; prisoner of war committee, Mesdames Lee, F. Daniell and C. Cook; handcrafts committee for the hospital, Mesdames Brockett, Dagg, Messrs Smith, Dwyer and Miss Wolters; transport committee, Misses Cruickshank, Madeley, E. Johnston, H. Gill, B. Birch, Mr Lee, Mesdames Pither and Te Tau. Mrs C. Cook was appointed to take charge of the Hospital .Auxiliary. It was decided that a welfare committee consisting of Mrs Thompson, Mrs Darvell, Mrs Lyttle, Miss Kummer and Miss Diggins be set up and that no issue of garments be granted without the consent of this committee. In connection with the patriotic appeal it was decided that members from the Sub-Centre take charge of the patriotic shop on April 17. Mesdames Garland, Gooder,. Towns, Dallas, H. Daniell and Butler undertook to take charge of arrangements in connection with the running of the shop. A vote of thanks was passed to Mr E. K. Eastwood for assistance given to the Masterton Sub-Centre.
