Dr. Van Mook (Lieutenant-Gover-nor of the Netherlands Indies) informed General MacArthur that two Netherlands East Indies forces of considerable size, one under General Schilling and the other under General Pressman, are fighting fiercely in the interior jungles of Java. They are well supplied with food and munitions and are engaging a considerable enemy force.
