EKETAHUNA
BOY SCOUTS EASTER CAMP. (“Times-Age” Special.) The Eketahuna and Pahiatua Boy Scouts, under Scoutmaster Gray, were in camp at the Newman Domain during Easter. The weather conditions were not good, but a very enjoyable time was spent. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs J. S. Tripe, .spent Easter with their daughter, Mrs D. Godfrey. Marton. Miss Margaret Brittian and Miss Sybil Green spent Easter with Miss Green’s parents at Wanganui. Miss Alison Simmers,'Wellington, is staying with her parents, Dr and Mrs Simmers, Bengston Street. Mrs W. Daniel, Wellington, is the guest of Mrs H. Daniel, Stanley Street. Mr and Mrs Tuohy (Pahiatua) and Mr and Mrs J. Evans (Woburn) have returned home after having been the guests of Mr and Mrs Norman Williams, Bridge Street. Messrs W. and F. Olsen, Newman Road, spent Easter at Makuri. Miss Nita Koce is a patient in the Pahiatua Hospital. Mrs Power and Miss de Malmanche. Wellington, arc the guests of Mrs F. R. Littler, Rongokokako. Mr and Mrs Greenwood, Masterton, spent Easter with Mr and Mrs Boustcad, Alfredton Road. Miss C. Giles is the guest of Mrs M. C. Donald, rahiatua. Church Services. There were large congregations at the Anglican Church on Easter Sunday. The church was beautifully decorated by lady members. A Communion Service was held at Alfredton at 9 a.m. and a service at Kaiparoro at 3 p.m. All the services were conducted by the Rev. G. E. Williams. At the Methodist Church the service in the morning was conducted by Mr Trim (Pahiatua). At Hukanui the Rev. K. I. Hopper was the preacher. At the Presbyterian Church a service was held at 3 p.m., the Rev. R. Dickie, of Masterton, being the preacher. There was a large congregation. The church was decorated with flowers. Mrs Fordyce was the organist. At the Sacred Heart Church the altar and the surrounding? were beautifully decorated for the Easter services by lady members. The preacher was the Rev. Father E. J. Sweeney. There was a very large congregation at each service.
