Guerilla bands, thousands ‘strong, are active, particularly in the Xanthe, Drama and Cavalla regions. The latest exploit was the derailment of a troop train in which 1,000 Germans were killed and the others fled for their lives. A German convoy, en route to Salonika, was attacked and destroyed.
