REGULATIONS AMENDED. EVACUATION PROBLEM. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The appointment of regional commissioners and district controlleis is provided for in amendments to the Emergency Reserve Corps Regulations gazetted last evening. The Minister of National Service, ’Mr Semple, _ said there would be at least three regional commissioners and a minimum ,of 12 district controllers. This was in accordance with a plan approved by tne executives of the Municipal and Counties' Associations, which had given an assurance that the proposals would have their full support and co-opera-tion. . „ , An important section in the amending regulations deals with evacuation. It is provided there is to be no compulsory evacuation from one place to another unless specific orders to do so ! are given by a competent military authority and communicated to a regional commissioner or a district controlt ler.
