W.W.S.A, AND RED CROSS LECTURE ON GAS. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the Red Cross Society’s room last evening there was a good attendance of members of the Women’s War Service Auxiliary, the Red Cross Society, and others interested when Mr F. Clark gave an interesting lecture on gas. Bowling. Three rinks from the Featherston Bowling Club will participate in the bowling tournament to be held at Martinborough on Good Friday. Personal. Mr H. Card, Wanganui, is visiting his brother, Mr J. W. Card, for a few days. Street Improvement, The Borough Council is forming and tar-sealing the footpath in Revans Street in front of the new school. When completed the work will be a decided improvement to the street. COSY THEATRE “CHEERS FOR MISS BISHOP.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by that outstanding drama “Cheers for Miss Bishop,” featuring Martha Scott and William Gargan.
