ATTACKED BV BRITISH PLANES IN LIBYA FOUR SHIPS DAMAGED. REDUCED SCALE OF ATTACKS ON MALTA. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 12.12 p.m.) RUGBY, March 31. A R.A.F. Middle East communique states: “Bombing attacks on landing grounds and camps in the Derna, Tmimi and Martuba areas continued on Sunday and Monday nights. Explosions and fires were caused. On Monday an attack was carried out on enemy shipping off Benghazi. Four ships, each of about 3,000 tons, were damaged. “Enemy attacks on Malta on Sunday and Monday were on a greatly reduced scale. On Monday, although enemy aircraft approached the island four times, none succeeded in crossing the coast.

“None of our aircraft are missing.”
