f IN WAR AGAINST RUSSIA t 1 LIKELY TO BE PLAYED BY BULGARIA. CONJECTURE IN TURKEY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 30. " The general feeling in Turkey is that momentous decisions will be taken in Bulgaria when King Boris returns, says “The Times” Istanbul correspondent. Political circles are convinced that Bulgaria will be forced to declare war on Russia, but anticipate that her contributions will be no more than symbolical. They discount reports that 100,000 or 200,000 Bulgarian troops will be dispatched to Russia. It is believed that a few Bulgarian divisions may go to Russia as a token share in the antiCommunist crusade. The Bulgarian Premier, Professor Filoff, interviewed by the Belgrade newspaper "Don au Zeitung,” said Bulgaria’s duty would be performed in south-east Europe. This is interpreted as meaning that the Bulgarian army will keep watch in the Balkans, which have become a most vital and most vulnerable point, being the junction of the German pincer movement with one arm extending eastward to Russia, and the other southward to North Africa.
