SOLWAY RAINFALL

FIGURES FOR MARCH. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 12 days in March. The maximum fall was 2.16 inches on the 11th, and the minimum 1 point on the 29th. The total for the month was 4.07 inches, as against 3.87 in 1941. 2.52 in 1940, .78 in 1939, 1.51 in 1938 and 1.13 in 1937. The average for 39 years is 2.G5 inches. The total rainfall for three months is 11.61 inches as compared with 11.42 in 1941, 6.51 in 1940, 1.92 ,in 1939, 11.13 in 1938 and 8.55 in 1937. The average for 39 years is 8.25 inches.
