LIMIT ON PROFITS
AMERICAN WAR INDUSTRY PRODUCTION EXPANDING RAPIDLY. OUTPUT OF PLANES “BORDERS ON MIRACULOUS.” (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received-This Day, 12.5 p.m.) WASHINGTON. March 29. The House of Representatives passed the 18,302 million dollar Army Appropriations Bill. An amendment attached to the Bill limits net profits on contracts to six per cent. Representative Cannon, chairman of the Appropriations Committee, in presenting the measure to the House, said amazing increases had been achieved in tank production. He said also that the present output of planes “borders on the miraculous.”
