OUR SEARCHLIGHT (To the Editor.) Sir, —In the midst of Masterton's blackout it is really comforting to know we have a searchlight in the middle of the town. Anyone who hasn’t yet noticed it should stand at a vantage point of not less than a mile away, and watch it flashing every few seconds. —I am, etc., ESOR NOSNIBOR. Masterton, March 27. According to a statement by the local Lighting Controller (Councillor W. Kemp) the extinguishing of the light to which our correspondent presumably refers has been ordered.
