HOME GUARD

PARADES THIS WEEKEND. ACTIVITIES OF MASTERTON COMPANIES. The Masterton companies of the Home Guard are no longer holding parades on Thursday nights but are confining their activities to the weekends. It is desired that there should be full musters at weekend parades as the work being carried out by the Home Guard is of vital importance in the defence of New Zealand. This weekend the companies will parade as follow:—A Company on Saturday, at Drill Hall at 2.0 p.m., members to bring weekend equipment. C Company on Sunday at Municipal Hall at 8.0 a.m., members to bring lunch and mug. B Company, church parade on Sunday at Gladstone Hall at 9.45 a.m.
