PATRIOTIC APPEAL A HANDSOME DONATION. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr N. C. C. Shepherd, secretary of the Featherston and district branch of the Patriotic Society, acknowledges a donation of £135 from Mrs C .Algar to the appeal fund. This sum represents the value of the racing trophies won by the late Mr Charles Elgar's stable. Mr R. E. Lett has donated a large box of chocolates, with two large Easter eggs on top, to be disposed of as the committee decides. Personal Items. Mrs J. A. Juno, who has been an inmate of the Greytown and Wellington hospitals during the past seven months, has now recovered sufficiently to return to her home. Mr J. W. Holland, secretary of the local Fire Brigade, is attending the United Fire Brigade Conference m Wellington.
COSV THEATRE “FOUR SONS.’’ The programme tomorrow night will be headed by the brilliant drama “Four Sons” with Don Ameche and Mary Beth Hughes in the leading roles. The associate picture is “The Return of Daniel Boone,” an exciting story featuring W. Elliott and Betty Mills.
