ST. MATTHEW’S SCOUTS

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. FIELD DAY ON SATURDAY. Group Scoutmaster I. C. Edwards presided over a meeting of the St. Matthew s Scout Group Committee last evening - . Reports of the Scout and Cubmasters showed big increases in roll numbers. Votes of thanks were passed to the many helpers who had made Scout Week such a success, and to the Press for its publicity. Leave of absence was granted A.S.M. E. Jaine, who has been called up for service. Appreciation was expressed of his services while acting as Scoutmaster. Arrangements wore made for a field day next Saturday. The Cubs will parade at the Den at 1.30 and march to the river between the bridges. A programme of Cub games and work has been arranged. The Scouts will also go through a programme of work and games.
