TEN MILLION MEN
BEING MUSTERED BV JAPAN FOR ATTACK ON SIBERIA. ACCORDING TO CHINESE COMMUNIST PAPER. | (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11 a.m.) CHUNGKING, March 23. Japan is is mustering ten million men from Japan, Formosa, Korea and China, in preparation for an attack on Siberia, says the Communist newspaper the “China Daily News.” The attack will be made as soon as conditions are favourable. This huge force would be in addition to the army already on the Siberian border, between Manchukuo and Inner Mongolia. The Japanese are also mustering 100,000 White Russians. The international situation is ideal for Japan’s plans to invade Australia, attempt to sever the sea lanes from America and simultaneously attack India and move to .Aden, in an effort to close the Red Sea. These operations would not preclude the Siberian adventure in which Japan can use its Army and Air Force while depending elsewhere principally on its Air Force and Navy.”
