WOMEN’S INSTITUTE

KAITUNA-FERNRIDGE ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) At the annual meeting of the Kai-tuna-Fernridge Women’s Institute the retiring committee was re-elected. Mrs Keir Senr., was elected president, Mrs Pringle secretary and Mrs A. Keir Junr., treasurer. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring president (Mrs lorns) and secretary, Miss J. Welch. Sewing was given to members to complete for patriotic purposes. The Institute decided to buy a first aid outfit and contribute foodstuff and blankets to be stored in a convenient place in case of emergency. The flower competition resulted: —• Mrs Keir Senr., 1; Mesdames Scharnweber and R. Shaw, 2. The hostesses were Mesdames R. Shaw and P. Cooper.
