HOSPITAL HELPERS

WAIRARAPA BOARD EXPRESSES APPRECIATION. Appreciation of the assistance given to hospitals throughout the Wairarapa was expressed at today’s meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital Board by Rie, chairman, Mr H. H. Mawley. Mr Mawley, after referring to many gifts made to patients in Anzac Hall, said that it was not only in gifts that people were assisting, as many were giving up much of their time in visiting hospitals throughout the district. The board, he said, appreciated all the things that were being done by these helpers throughout the Wairarapa. Mr J. F. Thompson said they were particularly fortunate in having the goodwill of numbers of helpers. The board passed a motion expressing its appreciation.
