RAID SHELTERS
FOR GERMAN WARSHIPS BEING BUILT TO HITLER’S SPECIFICATIONS. ALONG EUROPEAN COAST. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 16. Tens of thousands of foreign workers are building gigantic air-raid shelters for German warships along the Atlantic coast to Hitler’s personal specifications. It is part of a chain of mammoth buildings which the labour corps is erecting along the Continent’s coastline. / The first part consists of huge gun emplacements. entrenchments, pillboxes and a network of strategic roads for the purpose of protecting the coast not only from seaborne invasion but against parachutist attacks -from the area. This part of the work is already finished.
